Doug Baldwin caught his first NFL touchdown in the first week of the 2011 NFL Season. As a rookie, Baldwin was 4th in reception yardage in the entire NFL and led his team in both receiving yards and receptions. Doug Baldwin was the first undrafted rookie free agent to lead his team in receptions and receiving yards since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970. In 2012, Baldwin was riddled with injuries from dental surgery after diving for a pass to a shoulder injury and a high ankle sprain. In 2013, Doug Baldwin caught five touchdowns, a career high and was second in receptions and yards on the Seattle Seahawks.
